Community Support
Taking steps to make a difference…
1-World Charity Shops are making a difference both locally and overseas…
Locally, 1-World are helping unemployed back into the workforce and supporting local community groups with much needed donations each month.
1-World partners with Work Cover, Work for the Dole Programs and Disability Organisations in Brisbane to provide training, coaching and upskilling for unemployed; helping them to develop confidence and skills to assist in returning to the workforce. To date we have helped many unemployed return to employment; something we are proud of and looking to expand in 2018.
1-World donate to local communities groups each month, proudly supporting groups such as Chicks Conquering Cancer, Family and Child Foundation Co., Prostate Cancer Foundation Qld, and Hummingbird House. These small organisation are working to better the lives of those in the community and receiving a cash donation as support can make a difference.
Overseas, 1-World help some of the most underprivileged people in the world through support of Volunteer Vietnam; improving care to orphanage centres, and supporting projects delivering clean, safe drinking water. 1-World proudly redirect donated clothing and shoes to third world communities providing clothing to those in need.
